As for preparation of Kajjikayalu and ingredients:
Flour is kneaded well and made into a soft dough. It is further rolled into a thin puri. Then ground and roasted chickpeas are ground along with cardamom and Jaggery/Sugar. To this mixture, a few dry fruits are added. This is further neatly filled into the puri’s that were done. After nearly rolling them and tucking the edges, it is fried in oil until it turns golden brown. The filling can be grated coconut along with sugar, semolina and cardamom powder too.
